Congratulations to Emi Maeda ’25, who has been named Main Line Student of the Week. A senior at Baldwin, Emi is a current Montgomery County Youth Poet Laureate, partnering with libraries and non-profits to promote poetry, mental health and voter engagement, and planning public poetry events. She has performed at the West Park Arts Festival and Wawa Welcome America and is a National YoungArts winner in poetry as well. In addition, she is co-head of Baldwin’s Asian Student Association, a member of SDEI (Student Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) and Moot Court, serves as a tutor, is a committee member for Young Writers for Democratic Action and is a student council member for Philadelphia Japanese Language School. She is also a musician, playing the flute for Baldwin’s instrumental ensemble.
