Rebecca's current role as the Chief Academic Officer at The Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD), a PK3-12 independent school with approximately 1,200 students, has been marked by significant achievements. She spearheaded the development of ESDistinction: A Curriculum of Purpose, a comprehensive, mission-aligned framework designed to “ignite lives of purpose.” Her strategic leadership ensured that the school's programming met current educational demands and prepared students for future challenges. Her collaboration with the Head of School, the Board of Directors, and the executive team has been instrumental in long-term strategic planning and overseeing the operational aspects of academic and student life.

Before her role at ESD, she served as the Academic Dean at The John Cooper School, a PK-12 coed school with 1,300 students. As the school’s first Academic Dean, she built the position from the ground up, leading a team of department chairs, managing faculty professional development, and fostering a culture of growth and innovation. She chaired the Academic Council, led goal-setting for teachers, and was instrumental in driving key academic initiatives, particularly in assessment and curriculum design.

Previously, Rebecca was the Academic Dean at St. Agnes Academy, a prestigious all-girls high school in Houston. During her tenure, she spearheaded the examination of student workload to promote well-being. She focused on reducing student stress through partnerships with organizations such as Challenge Success and enhanced teaching practices through professional development.

Her leadership is characterized by a deep respect for teachers, who she views as a school’s most valuable asset, and she actively seeks to foster an environment where educators feel supported and encouraged to grow. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to lifelong learning, staying curious, and continuously seeking ways to enhance educational experiences for both students and faculty.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Loyola University, a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Towson University, and a certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas in Texas, bringing a strong academic foundation to her leadership roles.  While at Loyola, Rebecca was also a four-year NCAA Division 1 Women’s Soccer Player, earning the Medal of Merit Student Athlete Award.

I am deeply grateful to all who participated in the search process and shared their valuable feedback.  A special thanks to members of the BSPA, Baldwin Student Leadership, Deans, members of the Academic Council, faculty and staff, and our Senior Leadership Team for their time, engagement, and sage guidance throughout this search.
