Rev. William Moore Visits with Lower School

During Black History Month, a few of our Lower School grades welcomed Rev. William Moore (GP '34) to speak with their classes; he is the grandfather of Kennedy Gerow '34. Rev. Moore was a college student in North Carolina in the early 1960s. Inspired by the Greensboro sit-in, he and his classmates staged sit-ins in Fayetteville. Rev. Moore shared age-appropriate information with students about the civil rights movement, and answered the girls many questions.
