Students Excel at Science Fairs

Baldwin students had great results at area science fairs in recent weeks. The following students competed at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) Region 1B fair:
  • Gurnoor Othie ’25, "Effects of Tetracycline Resistance on Plant Growth," earning 1st place and qualifying for the PJAS state fair;
  • Claudia Kim '25, "Changes of Saliva pH with Different Beverages," earning 2nd place;
  • Shifa Sayeed ’25, "Correlation of Caffeine on Plant Growth," earning 2nd place;
  • Amelia Tang ’25, "The Effect of Different Water Temperatures on Plant Growth," earning 2nd place;
  • Angelica Tang ’26, "The Effect of Water Quality on Plant Growth and Health", earning 2nd place;
  • Anna Ko ’27, "The Effect of Social Isolation on Stress," earning 2nd place.
Sophie Kalish-Schur ’27, “Cyliboid in the Real World,” competed at the Montgomery County Science Research Competition, earning 1st place and qualifying for the Delaware Valley Science Fair.
